Former North Carolina Senator John Edwards was indicted today by a grand jury on violating campaign finance law during his campaign in 2008. He has forgo a plea deal that would have made him accept a felony charge and thus forfeit his law license.
After losing his marriage, his job, self-respect, his x-wife and the respect of his children he really thinks having his law license is the most important thing in his life that he should fight for.
What about Wade (RIP), Cate, Emma Claire, Jack and Francis? What about the bullying the must endure in school hearing kids whisper about their father, or the suffering of their now dead mother? How about knowing Wade and Elizabeth are turning over in their graves over the spectacle that their relative has made of their family name? What does little Francis explain to people when asked about her father when she is older?
After losing their mother to a brutal disease like cancer poor Emma Claire and Jack have to endure the possibility of losing their father to prison for the poor choices he has made in life that has punished them so many times over.
